The first catalog of manuscripts of Uzbekistan and Mawarannahr stored in Malaysia has been created
KUALA LUMPUR, July 8. With the participation of the Embassy of Uzbekistan, an online workshop on “Manuscripts of Uzbekistan and Mawarannahr stored in Malaysia” was organized within the framework of cooperation between Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center and International Islamic University Malaysia, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
The event was attended by the leadership and scientific staff of research institutions in the two countries.
During the research work at the Malaysian University, a catalog of manuscripts in Arabic by scientists of Uzbekistan and Mawarannahr, stored in the Syed Muhammad Naquib Al-Attas (SMNA) Library in Malaysia, was created. The catalog contains information about 150 handwritten works in 20 areas related to Islamic law, Quranic sciences, Hadith, logic and grammar of the Arabic language.
Following the event, agreements were reached on translating the created catalog into Uzbek and studying the issue of creating facsimile copies of these rare publications and translating manuscripts into other languages.
