President of Uzbekistan signs a Resolution on the training of Uzbekistan athletes for the XXV Winter Olympic and XIV Paralympic Games
On 1 July 2022, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan signed a Resolution on the comprehensive training of Uzbekistan athletes for the XXV Winter Olympic and XIV Paralympic Games to be held in Italy’s Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo in 2026, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
According to the Resolution, the necessary infrastructure will be created in the regions with the study of advanced foreign experience and through the widespread introduction of innovative technologies.
A modern Ice Palace will be built on the territory of the Uzbek State University of Physical Culture and Sport to train professional athletes, qualified coaches and other specialists in figure skating, speed skating, short track, curling, hockey, para hockey and paracurling.
An Olympic Training Center for 60 places will also be established in Chimgan village of Bostanlyk district of Tashkent region on the basis of Pakhtakor Sport Base.
The Republican Specialized Winter Sports School will be created in the city of Tashkent.
